There will also be a Militaria Discussion group, hundreds more photos/descriptions and an exact copy of an Aussies WW1 diary during 1914 - 1915. The diary alone has taken nearly 18 months to decipher and I hope to have it completed shortly.

WANTED: SS ALLGEMEINE OFFICER'S? SERVICE TUNIC. German WWII SS Black Service Tunic The tunic is single breasted with a 4 pebbled alum. buttoned closure, 2 on the back at either side of the center vent as well as 2 belt hooks. It has 2 pleated, breast pockets and 2 slash pockets on the front, all with scalloped flaps. The bottom pocket on the left has a short piece of lining material with a metal loop on the end to use to hang a dagger. There is black and silver piping around the collar and the sleeves have deep, approx. 6 3/8" French rolled-back cuffs. It has a full, silk like, twill lining.The sleeves are lined in tan twill cloth. The tunic has an inside breast pocket with RZM tag and 2 narrow pockets at the bottom, one on each side. The lining also has a slit on either side of the vent that are pockets as well. Hi, I recently acquired a RAAF slouch hat, but it is missing the red/white/blue woven flash over the hatband. This is normally located on the left side of the hat and is in essence a woven replica of the "fin flash" painted on RAF/RAAF warplanes during WW2. Do you have this insignia for sale ? Also, the hat I got is the stiffer, "dress" variety. I am in the market for a genuine WW2 soft version in my size (7 1/2 or European size 59/60 or XL, depending on your measurement system).
I am also looking for the dark khaki knit wool caps worn by British Commandos in WW2 and contemporary Royal Marine Commandos, Ghurkhas, etc.. The official designation of this is "Cap, Comforter" as far as I know.
Lastly, I would be interested in obtaining an unissued or mint example the tropical khaki uniform worn by Commonwealth personnel in WW2. This consisted of a sand colored shirt and long, baggy shorts that could be rolled up (called "Bombay Bloomers", I believe). They came in either a soft cotton khaki material or a strange fabric called Airtex (?) with holes for ventilation. I am looking for the light cotton variety. I probably wear size large (5' 11" tall, approx. 160 lbs.)
